Mighty Fine of you Spreadfire ..
If i had a million in the bank.... I would start a shop on south congress. FFL, Sot, Smith, you name it.. I have to drive miles to find a good deal.. get a title 2 transfer, you name it. I need to stop complaining though considering we still have the right to buy the weapons we want..

You should have the right to complain about a lack of service.
I work at a gun store, and I see what we could be, yet ... alas, I'm not in a position to change it.
Well i know owning and operating any business is not easy, being an employee of any business can also be a trying experience. So if it was a hobby and money was not the main objective I would love to bring all the things i (and many of the local gun enthusiasts i know) need into a centralized Austin location.. Oh and did I mention the 1000 yard range I would have just outside of town?
A future goal of mine is some day have the means to start a non profit to grow the outdoor sports. Everyone that I know or have met that questions or demonizes my passion for the sport the first thing I ask them is, "have you ever tried it." Of course the answer is just about always no. Ive never seen any of my anti-gun or anti-hunting friends shoot my suppressors for the first time or hit their first clay pigeon without a gigantic smile on their face, and at the end of the day say that was "FUN"
I know i kinda just switched gears right there but I don't agree with some gun owners idea that the "don't ask don't tell" method is the right way to go. I want more involvement, more education, more gun stores!. Of course im only talking about Texas though. I dont trust any of those other people..

GT just did an incoming xfer for me. Went very quickly and smoothly. $25 for the xfer.
But I bought a bore snake and a brass brush in .40 since this was a new caliber for me, so they did make a profit on accessories.
An opportunity the place that charges $50 won't have even though I am there weekly to shoot. They get money only for my range time, but I try avoid buying other stuff if I can help it.
some dealers charge high transfer fees because they simply don't want to handle a transfer. i don't do it for a profit, and i certainly don't do it for just anyone. some people are such a pain in the butt i will never do one for them again for any amount.
the sword cuts two ways....there is an "asshole surcharge" if you earn that.![]()

very good point only problem I see is when non assholes get charged for other assholes mistakes. But that is just a fact of life.

Here is a link where you can find a dealer. You need to scroll down to the bottom of the screen and put in your zip code and it will list dealers in your area. it also lists their prices.

P.S. I hope this link works. it did when i tried it again but you know hyperlinks. can work one minute and then not work a minute later.
