Hello from Luling...
I recently acquired a new STI Escort for off-duty carry. So, I'm in the market for an IWB or OWB holster for this fine, little pistol. Have any members had any successes in this arena? I'm not sure if a holster made for a Colt Officer's Model will fit this pistol. I think the STI frame length may be a little shorter... I am very hesitant about putting this pistol in a man-made/Kydex material type holster. I'm old school, i.e., leather; I like Mr. Lou Alessi's holsters, but the wait time is a little longer than I'd like. Any recommendations are welcome. ![]() |

Judging by the couple I've handled, they appear to be close enough to the size of a Defender, that I'm sure many holsters for Defender's will work. As far as some of the more form fitting designs out there though, I'm not entirely sure so don't take my word for it.
![]() Nice gun BTW! I love those things. I really need to get one for a carry gun.

The photograph below shows a Horseshoe Leather Products #28S Covert holster. Although the pistol pictured is a Colt New Agent, the STI Escort will fit beautifully in this holster.
![]() A direct link to Mr. Andy Arratoonian's web site is provided below.. Holsters for Handguns, Firearms and Concealment at holsters.org Additionally, I also own a Galco Concealable holster for a 3" barreled 1911 that is quite comfortable. |

Rio Vista Slim, I am honored to have a response from you regarding this thread.
I recognize the holster from the article you penned about the Escort. In fact, your article pushed me in that direction to purchase the Escort. I'll start looking at Mr. Andy Arratoonian's stuff. Thanks for the info. BTW, Rio Vista Slim's article can be found at the M-1911 Pistols Organization's e-zine. ![]() |

Sweet gun!
Here is a youtube link about kydex holsters: YouTube - Why you don't use a kydex paddle holster |

Some are better than others, but that's just the physical reality of the situation with paddles in general. Again, Fobus is cheap, pure and utter crap. I will pay you $100 if you can manage to get my SERPA off me with the belt platform (not the paddle). I seriously think I could probably support my entire body weight suspended from a tree and it would still hold. Hmm, methinks I might have to do a test. ![]()
