Wow, every state should have that law. Too bad that's on the other side of the country from my state (Idaho).
I saw this on a blog (Front Sight, Press) today:South Carolina To Have Tax Free Holiday For Gun SalesWe need a law like this!
Most people are probably unaware of it, but on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, handguns, rifles and shotguns will be sales tax free in South Carolina. State lawmakers passed a bill in June that includes the sales tax holiday on firearms. They called it the Second Amendment Recognition Act.
Rep. Mike Pitts, R-Greenwood, was the sponsor of the original bill. He said he got the idea after talking to the owners of a hunting outfitters shop in Clinton about the late summer sales tax holiday for back-to-school supplies and clothing.

Every state should do this 365 days a year.
I would love for TN to do this at least once a year.

I saw just a part of that story and thought the talking head was reporting on a tax-free day in Texas ... maybe we need to start lobbying in Austin ... what a great idea ..

thats a nice idea
That would be nice in Texas, just need to add ammo to the exemptions too.
