Gun Stores in Austin/Hill Country area

    Hey all,

Going to be in Austin and the Hill Country area next week for spring break. Just wondering what are the good gun stores to hit in the area? Already planning on hitting GT Dist and maybe Cabelas but wondering if there are any other, maybe larger independent stores worth looking into.

    Thanks

McBrides on Lamar in Austin is always fun to go to. It has been around forever and it's pretty large.

McBrides is a good store to hit. Don't forget their reloading room upstairs if you are into that.

Stay away from GT's in Austin, just about everything is backordered.

But McBrides mig have a few in stock. Either way, don't expect a great selection no matter where you go.
Be polite to everyone but be prepared to kill them at a moments notice.

It's still worth a trip to GT. occasionally they have a few trade ins that are good

Yeah I will be stopping by GT. I'm 5-0 so they keep some ammo back for us that's been harder to find. Plus I've never been to one in person. I'm in Fort Worth but hate going to Dallas, unless its to the Lodge.
