Default Charles Daly field grade driving me nuts

Ok here is my nightmare.
I take 3 shells and number them with a sharpie

#1 in the chamber
#3 then #2 in the tube

Fire #1, #2 lands between my feet, #3 chambers

I have done a complete tear down and clean

All is ok for about 5-10 shots then it starts again.

Any ideas where to look for something binding or not binding like it should?

Sounds like something sticking to me...try a grease-type lube and see if it helps.

Just a good grease....let me also add that I'd clean the beejabbers outta it first w/a good degreaser. Sticking things are sometimes caused by dirt/dust an' old grease that we don't get out...<don't ask how I know>

And yeah - I saw where you talked about having cleaned it.....but you never know - sometimes we miss stuff. Pay attention to the mag tube, as well - a bit of debris/dirt could be causing problems (don't know how, but when you're trying to find a problem, it pays to watch every detail).

Yeah - if you were closer, we'd toss it on my bench and give it a REAL solid clean-up an' then lube it with some of the stuff that I got from my Dad and Grandpa. It's cleared up more'n one slide for me - dunno how/why - ya can't find it any more, but it seemed like once applied, it kept stuff working fine from then on with just regular lubin'.
