Default sight pusher

Anyone ever made their own sight pusher? I scored a brand new set of nights sight for my Kimber, in a trade (I stole em). Not really but I will say it is one of my best trades ever, got less than 5 bucks in them.
I have read something about using a drill press with a wooden dowel or a brass punch as a bit. Not turning it on, just as leverage tool with a vise.
Any thoughts?

I saw that link but I am not sure how it works when you get the two alum. block tight against the slide. How would there be any clearance to put the sights in to get them started? On the other hand how would you push the old ones out?
