Default Colt 1908 380 Calibre

I'm looking at this pocket colt. It is hammerless and has a parkerized finish. No special markings so it is for civilian use. It's in pretty good shape but doesn't have the original clip. What kind of price should I be looking at. There are no other accessories included.

My OLD book says $250. to 800. for the weapon, including a mag. This book is a couple of years old. Colt made 138K of them for civi's. No count for millitary, which is marked "U.S. Property" on frame.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking it to be in the 400 range and this guy is asking 500. serial # is 790** which puts it in the mid 20's production year.

Thanks

$500 without a magazine, no thanks.

I'd pay $400 for it, with the knowledge that I'd have to hunt down a magazine for it.

It's been refinished, they were blued. It's a $250-300 gun, if you have $500 for one I'll sell you a nice one with the original finish and grips.

True, on the finish. It also DOES havea hammer. It is just concealed.

The prices that I found were from the Gun Digest Gun & Prices, so......from poor to exc.

I have wanted one of those, but the collectors have got them so jacked up in price that I quite looking. For a shooter, a Bersa would probably be just as good.
