Don't own one and don't plan on it. I hear they get "...smooth worn out...".
![]() But I have thought a cheap gun to toss in the truck so I have something there whenever I just run out quickly.

The G17 is not a highly tuneable target pistol with a trigger that "breaks like glass", nor do I expect that it could produce 3" groups at 50 yards. Glocks are service/combat pistols and work well as such. |

That's why I like them. I don't prefer the grip angle as I tend to point high with them so it takes me a little extra time to focus on adjusting my aim. However, they are just plain simple, reliable, and durable which I do like. It's always nice to have something around that you know can take a serious beating, isn't temperamental about cleaning, etc.

I have had a 30 for quite some time. It is my go to gun. I would love to have a 19 just for grins. I also would love to have a dedicated .22 upper for the 30.

I have only kept it since it is one of the first Glock 21's.
Somehow my new one just doesn't feel the same.

I own one Glock. It just doesn't do anything for me. It's kinda like having and ugly wife. She may clean house and cook and better than any other wife on the block, but noones going to rush out and see if she has a sister.
There's something in the workmanship of a fine pistol like 1911 or Luger that makes your hand glad you are holding it and your eye happy to look at it. It's what makes most of us collect guns . No romance in a Glock. Definitely not going to knock those that like them. They get the job done. |
