Is it legal to own body armor in Texas?

As a civilian without any criminal history/records/convictions is it legal for me to purchase and own body armor? I search but could not find any law/ruling on this. Only one where it said that it was illegal for a felon to own one. Just want to make sure.
    Thanks

This from a body armor company in Austin...

    13. Is it legal for civilians to buy Body Armor?

In general, yes - for law-abiding folks. A felony conviction makes possession of Body Armor illegal under federal law and in many states. (Source)

You can only have too much ammo if you are on fire or swimming....

If something is not proscribed by law it is legal.

Thank you for all the replies. I thought it was legal except for felons but the guys at the gun store kept on telling me it wasn't.
I don't want to break any laws.

Always ask knuckleheads to show you that law when they tell you some far fetched thing.

I don't know if I'd risk my life on a vest bought at a pawn shop....but that's just me.

That's funny! "...What are the chances they'll hit the same spot again?"
