Overall for this first get together I'd like us to get introduced to each other. Maybe share phone numbers, shoot the breeze and in general have a smooth nice day at the range. Maybe try out a pistol or two that one hasn't shot before. I think its important to make the personal contacts. I'm sure we could get a crowd to go for something to eat, before or after, depending on the time. And BS a little more.

I think that will set up the foundation to have consistent groups for TGT events in the future, as well as new range buddies for anytime. Essentially, start the network down here.

For example, just from my one post asking for private CHL instruction in Corpus, I've met a whole handful of guys through wayneside. Not only in the firearms community including a great instructor and now friend, but by extension have contacts into their professions or hobbies. I've met up with wayneside again to stock ammo, plus we have each other's number for random things.

My husband is just leaving active duty Navy, going reserves and we've made friends all over the place. I think personally and professionally, its a benefit to know people everywhere you go. Never know when you can use help or be someone's help and in general, have a buddy up the road.
