Hey - it's about bein' a "learning moment". If they have to clean up the mess they made, then do more as a "punishment", they'll think twice before doing it again. They may even give you an opportunity to get "into their heads" and help them see how to do things right.

Definitely. Life is all about the learning experiences, especially the mistakes. They made a pretty big mistake and now they need to learn from it.

Still laughing over how cool the two officers from SAPD were. In CA I would have got "what do you want us to do about it?"

In CA, you would have been arrested for terrorizing minors, having a magazine that holds more than 3 bullets, and standing up for yourself.

Good for you, great story.

Awesome. Glad everything turned out alright. The punks have hopefully learned their lesson, and no one even got hurt. I would have at least dressed up like Freddy Krueger or Jason or something to really scare them! lol j/k

lol You're wife was all amped up.

I love stake outs. Dad and I did a few when our trucks were being vandalized. We had a few sprints through the neighborhood and several vehicle tailings while on the phone with the Constable. What I'm happy about is like what you're happy about; that the LEO worked with you because he understood you just don't do stuff like that. That makes me feel better. After all, that's how I've always fantasized LEOs as to us fellow citizens. Basically "do what's right, take care of yourself and if you need help, gimme a call".

I left an AK sitting by the back door for my wife in case they were older than I'd thought. She complained that she wanted something more intimidating, so I fixed the bayonet.

Angry woman with a bayonet on the end of a rifle? I'll take my chances with Freddy or Jason any day!!

They were a bit young for that. Hopefully they'll come around, though.

Exactly. That's all I ask of peace officers, and I'm glad that it seems to be a lot more prevalent an attitude here than it was in California. I can't tell you how happy I was to see an SAPD car at the side of the road helping someone with car trouble for the first time. I could tell I'd got away from the PRK.

. . . .

What does your wife want? A Cannon? Tank? Nuclear missle silo?

If a rifle doesn't intimidate a person enough, then they have a lack of education.
