Remington Model 700 sps in .308

Does anybody have or have shot this gun. was looking at a tikka t3 but every gun shop I have called said I would have to wait for at least 2 months to get it.

But I can get the 700 tomorrow if I want to.
Just want some ideas before I go drop $500 for a new gun.

Don't know how close an FFL is to you, and what they charge for a transfer, but that's something to consider.

www.impactguns.com has them too.

Don't get me wrong, the Remington is an iconic gun, and it would provide you with many years of dependable service. The Tikka is a more accurate rifle though. I would see if you couldn't find one online somewhere and have it shipped. It will end up costing you a few more dollars, and possibly take a week to get there, but in all honesty I think it would be worth it.

Cabelas in Ft. Worth had some Tikka T3 Lites in stock a week or so ago. You might give them a call and see what they have.
