Has the BATFE gotten involved?

After all this is theft of a firearm.
If not start nagging them, if that does not work I might me able to get you a direct line number to an ATF investigator here in Houston.

I watched New Braunfels PD take him down today. They were'nt going to wait around like the other agencies involved while he screwed other people and did no telling what with our weapons. Guess I got a new enemy now....

Sounds like a couple of us jumped into this...this POS made a run at me Sunday night, but my antenna was twitchin'. After reading this here Tuesday, I called the OP, AND the New Braunfels PD. Gave 'em a printout of the post here, as well as the email(s) sent to me. They jumped into it PDQ - apparently, he was scammin' a LOT of folks in the area. They're pretty sure BATFE is gonna git in on it as well...
I couldn't put any of this up before, but the OP and I knew each other from a previous deal we'd done together, so it made it kinda personal - so I'd PM'd him and got his info to PD as well.

Bottom line - scum is in jail!

What did he do file a report?

I know where your Smith&Wesson is. I asked Billal to bring it to our meeting/his arrest.

A li'l more'n that...apparently, NBPD was unaware of this thing 'til our meeting. Main thing was pushin' 'em on understanding that the guy was passing himself off as an LEO. Once they read the accounts and looked at it a bit more, they became more interested. It would also appear that it dovetailed into other intel they were working on - maybe a different case, dunno.

Glad you got to be there to watch him go down....did ya tell him to be careful not ta drop the soap?

How'd he get hung into you? Trying to sell one, or buy?

He wrote me hot checks too. I tried to file a report with New Braunfels over a month ago but they said they could not do anything since the transaction took place elsewhere. I then took it upon myself to find him and I tracked him down at his Mom's house and confronted him. Got one of my guns back. Anyways I could type 3 pages about this past month. Main thing is somewhere along the line he got the idea we were friends or he could scam me some more. After the officers contacted me last night asking me for help I saw an opportunity to get him in New Braunfels. I guess I didn't realize how determined they were to get him. They jumped out of their vehicle in full SWAT gear with machine guns, broke his drivers side window and drug him out. I just sat there and watched.

That's the impression I got - that something suddenly went "click" and they got all excited 'bout the boy. Guess the thing that surprised me the most was just *how* stupid this idiot was. I mean, rip folks off AND stay in town - not the brightest bulb on the string!

Default More good news

Just got off the phone San marcos PD , Looks like during yesterdays takedown of the suspect, NB PD also recovered my S&W 1911, I will be reunited with it sometime in the near future, after they use it as evidence on the pending case against the perp, Again not to sound like a broken record, but thx to all the individuals involved on taking him down especially Gunslinger and Semicrazy...
