Default "low ball" the other complaint

I read a thread about a guy getting upset with those clowns low balling him on his sales. The same is going on the other way. I've seen many listings that are just crazy overpriced. Like the glock 17 for 1000. Come on people, you can buy a new glock 17 at academy for 530. Or those guys who don't know what they want, but want to trade. You all are wasting buyers time with these BS posts. Oh sure, it's your right to ask any price you want, but do a little research. You might not mind wasting your time, but my time is very valuable.

I like to offer something for trade that I don't use or am bored with and like to fish for offers not knowing what I want. I'll post a "WTT" ad without asking for something specefic and don't see anything wrong with doing that. Why would that bother anybody?

Default tradeing

I hae to agree with 1right guy. A lot of the fun is seeing what someone offers. I have traded several times for items I did not even think of at the time. and of course each party thought they got the best deal.

It wasn't difficult to foresee the behavior of the secondary market with the surge in panic buying starting last year. AMEX bills are coming due, and folks are deciding that maybe they want money for a new bigscreen, vacation, or maybe just next months' house payment ... and are foolishly trying to recover their entire "peak of the hype" investment when they're hardly alone in the market.

Willing buyer, willing seller. It's not personal - just business. Getting angry at the market is foolish.

Yep, if you think its too much, offer less. They will either take it or not. But, I will admit that I get a kick out of looking at some of the prices people are asking. I like to try and figure out what kind s**t they have been smoking!!!

Yes, but I think ammo is coming down quite a bit. I know reloading supplies have loosened up a tad. I buy stuff on gunbroker all the time and yes, there are some ridiculous prices on there too. But, there are some deals on there too if you are quick enough to get them.

Still, there are a lot of people paying $70-80 for 1K large pistol primers....

Tell me about the primer prices!!! I stopped looking, simply because it got SO rediculous - especially on the part of those buyin' 'em! I simply placed largish backorders with Graf's - with the end result bein' that I now have 40k or so primers (LP, SP, SPM) on hand. Then again, I'm fixin' ta load another 5k of 45.....guess I need to place another order! :)
