I was clocked at 87 mph between Sedona and Phoenix by a state trooper yesterday. It was on the down side of a mountain on the freeway and I normally don't drive that fast. Anyway, I handed him my carry permit with my license. He asked if I had my weapon with me and I told him I did. He wrote me a warning, thanked me for carrying and said he wished everybody did. Gotta love Arizona.

In Arizona, you have to worry more about those stupid speed cameras than you do the troopers. My experience has been that Arizona DPS have always been very reasonable. Which is good, cuz I do like those mountain roads. :)

Yeah ... people panic braking in front of the photo enforcement zones is a good thing.
For the stationary sites around Phoenix, the flow of traffic seems to be slower, but outside of town where they use the mobile units it tends to catch people by surprise. |
