I'm in the market for a pistol and am having trouble deciding between these two, CZ 75 or Sig P226 Legion SAO. In either case I plan on having a threaded barrel to use it as a suppressor host. If it was your money, which would you choose, and why. I haven't shot either personally, so pros and cons from you guys are preferred. I have shot a P226, just not the Legion SAO.

Reliability is #1. I hate ammo picky guns, it's irritating. Common malfunctions are not acceptable for this firearm

Accuracy is #2. I love a gun that is infinitely more accurate than I am

I'd lean towards the Sig. I had a CZ75 and it is one of the few guns I've sold. Stock trigger was meh at best. The finish looked like it had been plasti-dipped. It's the only gun I ever had that pinched my trigger finger between the trigger and trigger guard. It was reliable and accurate, just not for me. As has been said on here a zillion times, if you can, try before you buy.

If people would be honest, no polymer pistol will have a quality trigger. The pistols are designed for self defense. A manufacturer wants you to be sure you want the pistol to go bang when you pull the trigger.
Cajun is a great company for making a stock production pistol into a fine shooter.

Another misconception is you will notice the difference if you ever have to use it for self defense. I guarantee if you are every faced with a life and death situation the last thing you will care about is the trigger pull.
You can find stories on the internet where police officers are questioned after having to use deadly force. When asked about how many times they fired their weapon, most will give wrong answers. They may remember firing three times when they actually maybe shot ten times.
I have two friends that are retired police officers. Each has been in situations where they had to use deadly force during their jobs. Both have told me that about all they remember is looking at the bore of the other guys weapon pointed at them. One described it as looking as big as a road tunnel.

I have never had to use any of my weapons for self defense. I have pistols that are set up for the range and others that are set up for self defense. At 3 to 7 yards, any quality weapon will do the work.
Let's just pray we never have to find out personally.

Not to be too argumentative, but the polymer Sig SP2022 has the same SA/DA trigger as the Sig P226.

Perhaps not the greatest trigger in the universe, but the P226 is one of Sig’s core products and generally known to have a decent trigger.

Who is talking about polymer pistols? The CZ 75 is all steel. (Some of the compact models have alloy frames.) The Sig is alloy framed. I'm sure you know this, but your comment confused me.

Polymer or metal, they are still designed as a tactical weapon. I stand by my previous opinion.
Years ago I bought a DPMS AR308. It had a 9 pound trigger from the factory. I called to see if I had a bad rifle or my trigger was standard issue. The Customer Service guy told me their legal department had designed the trigger! He laughed and told me the heavy trigger was a design safeguard to keep someone from accidentally shooting the rifle. I switched to a Round River two-stage match trigger. Much better.

I have several CZ pistols. Each model has a different feeling trigger. My P-01 will pinch my finger if I get too much meat on the trigger. My P-10C seems to have the best trigger for repetitive range work. My P-05 has a good all around trigger. My SP-01 is nice but now where near a quality 1911 trigger.

I'm leaning toward a CZ 75 Shadow 2 in particular. I love my plastic gun, the ppq has a pretty damn decent trigger. I can shoot it well, and it's reliable. Just time to get a nice all metal frame tricked out pistol to enjoy. Something to love at the range, and if needed, reliably defend myself and my family with.

I picked up a P226 Legion DA/SA a few years back and its my go-to gun hands down. The Grey Guns trigger is great, sights are bright and I've never had a single hiccup after 2.5k rounds. P220 is gonna be my next pistol purchase
