T-38A "Talon". If you squint, you can kind of make out T-38A in the writing near her wrist. Its a primary jet trainer for the Air Force.

Ah, tks. I suspected it was a trainer, F4, F16 and the occasional F15 were about the only fighters we got up close and personal with.

She was a T38 instructor and her last assignment was at the instructor school at Randolph. T38 is finally being phased out in the near future. In service since 1961.

Yep, the replacement trainer just started flight testing at Edwards AFB, scheduled to enter service in 2025 as they phase T-38s out. The T-7A Redhawk. From the video I've seen, this thing has an insanely roomy cockpit.
