Selling my recently restored bike documented in another thread here. A 1982 Honda CM250 Custom. 250cc engine, 1 down, 4 up 5-speed bike feels good shifting through all gears. I've personally taken the bike up to 65mph, and it still had legs for more. I'm selling to fund other 'restoration' projects before I fall in love with the bike and keep it forever. For my driving record, this bike is $44 a year to insure through Foremost. Only 100 kilometers on the odometer (engine/chasses actual mileage unknown) so I can't accurately tell you accurate fuel efficiency. Its supposedly about 100mpg, based on how little fuel I've put in it that doesn't sound wrong. The speedo is in KPH, with the MPH being in smaller yellow lettering, odo is kilometers only.
Got it as a box 'o parts and recently got it all back together: 99 kilometers put on by me. Gas tank was de-rusted and internally sealed using KBS sealer. New crank case gaskets, fresh 10w-40 part-synthetic Castrol Actevo. New tires with the injection molding stems still on them. New headlight and tail light (both with integrated turn signals). New drive chain, new stainless nuts and bolts from Honda. New throttle, clutch, and brake cables. New bar-end mirrors. New seat. New rear shocks. New battery. New fuel lines/filter, new petcock. New Carburetor. New plate holder and tag lights. Spare headlight and spare parts box can go with you. Universal parts work well on this rig, but OEM parts are still available too.
Fuel tank is still in primer green, 1 bit is flaking off but has a different primer below so no chance of rust. Heat wrap is included with bike; I removed it and found it was covering a bit of a blemish on the "mufflers". I think the fuel tank holds about 2.5 gallons. Remainder of the bike is black painted, polished chrome or polished aluminum. Drum brakes feel ample, and have room for adjustment.
TX Title in hand; in my name plated, inspected, and insured. Comes with 2 ignition keys, 2 gas keys, and 3 tree lock. Fully legal and on the road for my little in-town errands, lunch runs, and after work scootin'. Asking $1100: it is a bonded title if that means anything to you. OEM condition bikes are going for about $1600. Feel free to ask any questions, request photos, and see it in person. Test rides are fine by me if I have cash in hand. Open to trade offers, but as stated above I'm mostly wanting another repair project. Only trades I'm considering are 1911s, revolvers, .25acp pistols, maybe a lever gun. Shoot your shot with a trade, you never know. Also open to gold and silver. I might be open to a restoration project bike, car or truck. I have a ramp to help get it up into a truck if needed. Thanks for looking!
