Does anyone make an adapter that turns an AK cleaning rod into a standard cleaning rod

Asking for a friend who wants to use the rod that fits into his AK

Your friend wants to use the AK standard issue steel cleaning rod to clean other rifles?

Tell your friend to do his other firearms a favor and get a brass (or other not steel material) cleaning rod. Your cleaning rod should be a softer metal than your barrel so it doesn't damage the rifling.

    ????

No, he wants to keep it to use on his AK, unlike the brass rods, it has a male end and he can't use the Ramrod cleaning tips he uses on his other firearms

The rod mounts under the rifle, so he's planning on building a AK cleaning kit with the Ramrod cleaning tips sense they can be used with the small oil cans

There is no adapter that I am aware of. Pretty much zero demand for one.

Most people view the rod as purely cosmetic. Its short (too short for most other rifles) and steel which can damage barrels, chambers and crowns.

If someone uses the rod for cleaning an AK, they likely use the existing mil surplus cleaning kits that fit in the trapdoor of the AK buttstock. These are designed for field use, so they are compact, but the parts are not intuitive to use, and the whole thing is clunky.

Even the nice folks at Kalashnikov USA don't think the cleaning rod is a good option. Here's what they recommend:

The whole set is likely to be cheaper than having someone make an adapter, the brass rod and standardized brushes will clean rather than damage your barrel, and the whole thing is not much larger than using a mil surplus two-chamber solvent/lub bottle and cleaning kit.
