I think you are talking about Lone Star Handgun in Converse, not Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart.

Lone star gun range is ok - it gets really crowded on the weekends. The rifle range can get squirrely because sometimes people don't set their targets in front of their shooting benches.

Go during the week. Less chance of yahoo's. If you're not doing anything stupid, RO's tend to leave you alone. If you see something unsafe, say something. $23 to shoot all day.
