Diff twist on Black Powder Shotgun

I have heard that recoil is not so bad on those, but I guess it just depends on how and what you load it with.

I like weird so I like this. But I don't understand it too well. I can imagine a prohibited possessor wanting one thinking that it's not a gun so he should be OK but that's not true. Most states will prosecute for a felon in possession of a "weapon" even if it's blackpowder and not, legally a firearm.

So who is the target market for this?

Black powder doesn't really have much recoil. Nice to look at but a bit pricey for a novelty. Having experience with cap and ball I don't believe I'll bet my life on it when I don't have to. Used to be black powder arms were considered non-guns. Not sure if that is still true.

That hasn't changed. I was just pointing out how felons must live with a different set of rules.

With the recommended 40gr 2F and 1/2 oz load, at 4lb weight, it will have a reasonably mild recoil. With #2 or #4 lead shot you would end any event under 30 feet quickly.

IIRC Auto Burglars were 20 & 28 gauge. I think the lines of the auto burglars are much more appealing then these pistol grips. I just see those grip breaking also.
