Tell her a former DPS guy who worked with a lot of officers said most will give you a break if you have an LTC (and it’s a minor infraction).

My wife has had a LTC (CHL before that) since the begining. When asked about shooting, she quotes Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind..."I can shoot straight, if I don't have to shoot too far".

Timeline for my LTC as I can determine:

1. Attend LTC class, 1/27/23
2. Complete LTC class and apply for LTC online and get IdentoGO Service Code, 1/27/24
3. Get IdentoGO reservation using Service Code, 1/27/24
4. Go to IdentoGO for fingerprinting (Round Rock), 1/31/24
5. Submit all documents to Texas DPS, 1/31/24
6. Receive Texas LTC, 3/4/24

Not bad, 37 days from class to LTC card.
