Probably gonna paint it with floor paint.
It's easy to apply and extremely durable. Have another bench top painted with it and it's lasted at least 2 years in the weather with no sign of the ply wood separating or rotting. My back room has the floor painted and it's stood up to sliding chairs, tables, ammo boxes, etc. very tough stuff.
