Where it used to be common scrap, now it is difficult to find.
Wheelweights were a great source of bullet casting metal. Now they're banned.

I'd be interested in purchasing(or trading) for your lead.

I have at least 60 lbs of wheel weights, probably closer to 80. Enough that the handle of the 5 gallon buckets feel like they could break any second. I started sorting the zinc ones and it was taking forever. They're collecting dust in the garage now. I'm in cedar park if anyone is interested. When I started hoarding them I would only put lead ones in there but my coworkers kept throwing other ones in it.

Overall I'd still say it's over 75% lead. I had been hoping to trade for some cast and lubed 45 Colt bullets but I'd take cash. Anyone interested PM me and I'll put them on a scale.

I checked Green Guy recycling last week and they were selling wheel weights and some various soft leads for .30 a pound. They didn’t have much on hand.

i am just outside san marcos guys. i can't believe green guy is selling lead for .30 a lb. not saying its not true, just hard to believe. i paid .80 a few years ago from him.
i also have a shit load of "container" lead. containers that shielded whatever was in em. i remember googling it a coupla years ago and said they protected small bottle or some such thing. i do need to get out from under this lead pile but dont wanna take a loss. i'll post it for sale if i can settle on a price. willing to consider any ideas. thanks
