Purchasing Used Pistol Question

I am a Texas resident and have my appointment to get my DL mid April. Do I need to wait until I have my TX drivers license or will my Missouri DL be fine to purchase a used pistol?

If your are making the purchase through a FFL transfer, you must have photo ID that shows your present residence address.

If you’re just purchasing person-to-person, generally no ID required but depends upon the seller.

Just to add, the paper temporary license works to purchase from an FFL. You don't have to wait for the plastic one.
