One of our esteemed new members of congress thinks that black Americans should be exempted from paying taxes….but then she acknoledges that many aren’t paying taxes anyway.

What kind of rocks do these modern elected officials crawl out from?

a large percent of Congress is either corrupt, evil, stupid, racist, or immoral… so don’t feel like the Lone Rangers there in Texas

add to them the corrupt, evil, immoral, lying bureaucrats in the deep state and you get the current state of our nation… bankrupt, decaying, lawless… spinning into the abyss of some sort of anarchy or socialism or worse

I’m disgusted with them, the corrupt ruling class… they have destroyed my grandchildren’s futures

never thought I’d see the end of this once-exceptional country… but we are seeing it happen before our very eyes

I wonder how long until society breaks down completely

Wouldn't reparations, in whatever form they agreed on, negate most, if not all future claims of racism in American society? According to the way I understand it, such reparations would make all things equal, no?

Shouldn't there also be reparations for those who bought and then lost their investment in slaves? Some plantation owners lost a considerable amount of money.

Reminds me of the old adage that says if you took all of the wealth in America and distributed it evenly to all of the adults in the nation, within 10 years 80% of the wealth would be back in the hands of 20% of the people as it is now.

I can speak from personal observation having seen a small group of families move from public assistance to receiving a half million dollar a year allotment. Within a few years most had 5-6 luxury vehicles that were all behind on payments, many had developed expensive substance abuse addictions and all were surrounded by new "friends and family" who bled them dry. Hard to imagine people living month to month when their monthly allocation was around $50K but that is exactly what happened.

Imagine handing out $250K-$500K reparations payments to this select group of people.....it would be like passing gas in a hurricane
