When I wanted a wall hanger shotgun…. I let a couple of my LGSs (where I was a regular customer) know… and one came up with one

an old non-serviceable 1911 might be harder to come by… I’m not sure

I used to buy up old 'non-serviceable' doubles like that, and fix them, shoot them, then sell them...
Don't know if it was profitable, had to make parts, fix wood, bore barrels & re-choke, tighten locks, re-cut sears, but it was fun.
Personally, I don't believe in the No Win scenario, I mean 'Non-Serviceable' firearm.

I think i know a spot where you can find a taurus pt22.

But most boaters that use 1911's keep them on chains and are pretty particular about not loosing them.

Check Gunbroker and other sites for "Gunsmith Specials"....guns that don't work but are good for gunsmiths-in-training to practice with. You may also reach out to your local gunsmiths for help.

I question the concept of a “non-serviceable 1911”, unless from decades at sea bottom.

The Old War Horse can be made to work if the parts are recognizable.

I meant a currently non-repaired one… one safe to leave out on display and wouldn't be able to shoot in its current condition

yes, most can be repaired under just about any condition

I removed the firing pins from my double that is hanging up… just In case

I just liked the look of the external hammers and double trigger
