    Nice write up. I've detail stripped my 1911's a few times, as well as my Sigs. What I learned was to take your time, and not worry. They all eventually go back together.

    As to the lub, I'm in your camp. I tend to over lub. I know, I know... too much can gum things up, but I can't help myself on range guns. Carry and SD guns, not so much.
