Three favorites? Can't do that! Most of my favorites go back more than 10 years, too.

    Godfather- the whole series.
    French Connection
    Bullett
    The Great Escape
    Blues Brothers (original)
Saving Pvt Ryan......"Earn This!" Holy crap what an ending!
    Forest Gump
Titanic ........but it got old in a hurry!
    True Grit (John Wayne)

Up to you .................. do what ya' got to do! :green:

As I press on trying to remain vertical each day, I realize a great deal of the older movies are so much better than some (not all) of the absolute crap that comes out of hollywood today. I think these days they throw out all kinds of shit and call it a movie just to see if they can get lucky.

    The Longest Day
    Dr. Zhivago
    Lawrence of Arabia

    Republic of Texas
    Magnificent Seven

    Band of Brothers

    Apocalypse Now Redux

(Some mentioned Blazing Saddles, I went back and watched that again three weeks ago. Probably first time in a decade. Did not find it near as entertaining as I once did. Hard to get through the entire movie.)

I'm back to add more to my original posting (now that some of you have reminded me of what I missed):

Lone Survivor! (how did I forget that originally)
    Man on Fire
    Hard Candy
    Full Metal Jacket
    American History X
    Seven Pounds
    Inglorious Bastards
    Gran Torino
    District 9
End of Watch (a top 5 for sure)
Avengers and it's related movies (a couple weren't that great, but overall, as a whole, they are great)

Well you arrive late and all the good ones are taken! Thought of a few more...

    1) Anything John Wayne

    2)Young Guns

    3) Ten Commandments
    - You will be mine, like my dog, or my horse, or my falcon, except that I shall love you more - and trust you less.
    - So let it be written. So let it be done.
    - Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel: Let my people go. (I frequently use this when I'm being impeded from leaving for a trip to Cabelas)

    4) Red Dawn (1984)
    - Wolverines!
    - "the chair is against the wall, the chair is against the wall", "john has a long mustache, john has a long mustache"
    - What's the capital of Texas?
    Austin.
    Wrong, commie! It's Houston.
