I've been looking at some different and more affordable options for a 45lc lever action I've wanted to add wondering what everyone opinion is of Rossi guns quality etc.

I own a pre-safety 1894 lever action and I love the damn thing. Handles well even with the 20" barrel, smooth action, holds 14 and shoots about as well as 45LC can. The newer ones have an obnoxiously placed safety but overall, they are great value for dollars spent. Braziltech/Rossi has been making pretty good guns for a while now. I place them a notch above Taurus.

I have a Win 94 without a safety in 30.30. Its a blast but it would be more fun in .45LC.

I have a Rossi Rio Grande, and a Marlin 336 - both 30-30. I got the Rossi to be my brush gun, and my 336 would be my deer rifle I would take better care of. After using and shooting both guns, I really prefer the Rossi to the Marlin. The wood is nicer, the finish is top notch, the trigger is great, and I can gorup better at 75 yards with the Rossi.

Long story short the Rio grande has my scope and sling on it for deer hunting, and my Marlin is my open sight bang around gun. If I could only have one, I would buy the Rossi every time.

    Can't relate specifically to the 45LC but I have a Rossi R92 in 38/357.
Fun little rifle and never had any issues with it.

    Is the marlin 30-30 pre-remington?

I have a 92 in .44mag and a Rio Grande .45-70; both are really nice. I also have an older Braztech pump action .22 that is a great little gun, too.

I have one of the older Rossi Interarms guns and love it. Pre safety and no problems to date, I was even able to pick up a 357 version to go along with the 45C. The newer ones seem to be hit or miss per most reviews but if you find an older one I would say go for it.

I'm seriously considering a Rossi Ranch Hand in .45 Colt for a truck gun. Thanks for the info.

Even had a "fantasy" thought about shortening the mag. tube enough to thread and add a suppressor! Can easily get subsonic with a 300 gr. bullet.
