It's on right now, I caught a short bit of it after running on the treadmill (am DVR'ing the rest of it). Abbott is annihilating Davis...he is articulate, provides educated responses, and maintains a mature demeanor. She is insulting, spouting rhetoric that has nothing to do with the topic of discussion, and is pretty much just embarrassing herself. Anyone who even considers her a viable candidate for the governor of this state doesn't have a clue!

Those are my thoughts, anyone else watching?

Abbott sounded sincere and natural, while Davis sound horrible, like she was reading off a prompter and not doing a very good job of it.

Damn dude - top of the page says "Real Liberal Politics." At least they are calling it like it is.

I get more of a kick out of the extremist political perspectives. It reminds me of listening to a short wave radio in the 60's and all the BS from radio Moscow, etc. "Socialism will win because we are not bourgeoisie" (French/ Marxist for materialistic hard workers).
Wendy's suckups are little different when truth is their first casualty.

I watche4d the first 15 minutes. Abbott was answering the questions and Davis was attacking Abbott rather than answering the questions. Abbott is clearly more prepared for this debate. Not sure why Abbott even had the debate, he already has the election in his pocket.

Anyone who thinks Msssss. Davis won this debate is delusional. She came across as stiff, cold, bitchy, and .....weird. Greg Abbott is genuine, warm, friendly, mature, and knows the issues. Davis wouldn't look into the camera during her responses and never referred to the panel members by name, which was in direct contrast to Mr. Abbott. I call the debate this way:

For knowing the issues: Abbott 10 Davis 5
For likeability: Abbott 9 Davis 3
For coming across as genuine: Abbott 10 Davis 2
For answering the questions directly: Abbott 9 Davis 2

I tuned in about a minute before Davis called Abbot "Dumb." I agree with the general consensus so far. She was stiff, unnatural, rude, mean, and just... weird. Abbot was no Reagan but he came across as a dignified gentleman, at least.

I also agree with the shortwave comparison. That website reminds me of the hilariously slanted broadcasting you here from Radio Havana.

If you're going to make it in State or National politics, you got to have the Political Savvy. She don't.

It was also interesting after Abbot spoke in rebuttal, WD tried to talk over the announcer. Didn't end well for her.

The comments were amusing.

For those that support Davis in the comments on that site, I noticed they couldn't help but insult Abbott in their comments. This is very personal to them and not about who is best qualified to run the State. No wonder the Dems are ruining everything they touch.

I do find it projection at it's finest that they think Abbott is a liar considering all the lies Davis has been caught in when talking about her past.

1) I can win any debate with any one on any subject. In fact, don't even tell me the subject, I will give you 6 mos to study and a $1000 sez I win...want PROOF? Obama got elected to a second term, he wins based upon 2 things: A) He LIES, B) His base believes him!

2) What you have to realize is that WD did in fact win and she won for all the reasons why stated in ALL the posts above. When you deny the truth the only other option is to believe the lie.

You cannot win against the "People of the Lie". When a govt does it they call it: "Propaganda" Wendy Davis, Harry Reid, Obama and a bevy of news commentators. Wendy won, she just did not win by our standards, but to her supporters she cleaned Abbotts clock...
