Turns out Jean Paul DeJoria of Paul Mitchel hair products is a shooter. He came into the range today with a bobtailed commander Ed Brown 1911.

Unfortunately the gun did not want to feed. He tried some Golden Saber JHPs and they were sitting on the rifling in the chamber and the slide was locking out of battery as a result. Worked fine with FMJ, but I told him to send it back.

Not every day you get to meet a multi-billionaire. So for those of you with Paul Mitchel products, now you can buy and use them with pride knowing that one of the owners shoots a 1911.

He also started Patron, the tequila company.

Seems an Austin gun range is quite the meetin' place.

Yeah, we've had a bunch of people come in here.

    Marcus Luttrell
    Rick Perry
    Colt McCoy
    Jordan Shipley
Earl Campbell (I sighted in his .30-06)
    Jean Paul DeJoria
    Michael Griffin
    Michele Rodriguez

That's the list I can think of off the top of my head.

i knew that patron was theirs, didn't know they were pro 2A....

    pretty neat those we meet...

I don't know anything about this person, but owning a gun doesn't make you pro-2A.

It simply means you own a gun. I've seen lots of people are own guns, hunt, and just can't figure out why anyone would or should have the right to own handguns, semi-auto rifles, or standard capacity magazines.
