I will throw out another stat here I pay 35% of my ss per year on property tax ( Texas) for people to go to school who never pay into the system so in fact you can run but you can't hide from the great socialist circus of take from those who work or have worked to those who never worked & never will.

That's just stupid. There are plenty of things they can do to easy living costs for seniors. Tax relief as OldGuy pointed out is one. Maybe make the senior exemption x 2 or something like that. A one time payment of $250 is going to cost a lot, and do little.
