For fun I tinker with custom pump and CO2 air rifles and pistols. Last Christmas I helped a buddy with some client gifts and they turned out awesome. I’m going to make a couple this year.

The guns are lightweight, very accurate, simple to operate, super-dee-duper quiet, and tons of fun. I buy the donor body, then add custom parts and tune everything to shoot perfect. Laser engraving is an option as well, but does add to the turnaround time.

The price would depend on what the buyer wants, but I have built guns for as little as $160. Please send me a PM if this is something you might be interested in. The options go from mild to wild.

    Looks cool!

What is the "base" pistol (what do you start with)?

So, is the distance on the target, 28, 30, or 50 feet?

Base pistol depends. Lately I've been using the 1377, 1322, and 2250.

Distance was 28 feet. The other two numbers were the distance markings on the Adjustable Objective of the scope. I was testing POI shift at different settings.

What velocities are the co2 getting?
Is there a pump pistol version?

I'm a total noob, this is "spring" action?

The air gun pictured is CO2. It takes those little cartridges.

I think about 500fps. Yes, there's a pistol pump version. It has the added benefit of adjustable power, since you can choose to pump as low as 2x or as high as 15x. The pumper is even quieter than the CO2.

I know I titled this thing as Christmas client gift ideas, but I'd be happy to make anyone a package. The building is enjoyable for me and it puts a little extra spending money in my pocket.

This is a build that began with the Crosman 2240, which is CO2 powered. It is extremely quiet and puts a 14.3 gr pellet deep into a 2x4. Currently waiting for a scope.

    Hmmmm. This is pretty interesting.

That is VERY quiet. I wish I could see what a gun around $200 or so might cost.
