Sure they can deny service to anyone for any reason, but it comes at a risk, say a lawsuit. They have every right in the world to be pissed, and I hope they win their suit.

I'm sure those kids are angels and have never mistreated/mishandled/excluded others based on color, sex, or political party affiliation.


I've been denied in all kinds of places due to my color. Be it because people thought I was Mexican (Mexican), Filipino, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Mexican American, and guess what else ... AMERICAN!!! I picked up and moved on. No need to sue, just get back to doing what I do. That's not even counting the places that have rejected me due to my social and/or economic position in life.


EDIT: If they wanted to call for a boycott, I'd say go for it

Six African-American men in the group were denied entry to the bar last weekend.
Student Regis Nurayi says the bar's manager told them their jeans were too baggy.
But Murayi didn't buy it.
So he switched jeans with a shorter, white student.
The white student, who now had very baggy jeans, was let in, and Murayi was still kept out.

I have no idea of the specifics, but that's a pretty good basis. I hate frivolous lawsuits, but if everything in the article is valid, mothers deserves some heat.

I have some history with this, so please understand. I went down to 6th street some time ago with a fellow chemical engineer after a hard week. He's a clean cut black guy, no tattoos/piercings, baggy jeans, or any of that shit. I get in, he doesn't. He's not a hood rat nor does he dress the part. In fact, I'd bet my life savings he's smarter than anyone on this forum. This didn't just happen once, but twice.

I've been called racist for not allowing black people into bars when I was a bouncer. Right as this group of hood rat wannabees started calling me the Grand Wizard, I let in a group of well dressed, clean cut black USN guys that had been in the night before. I didn't even card them, recognized the guys and waved them through the door. I just laughed as the CCPD started getting involved due to the scene created, these wannabees yelling that I need to be arrested for being racist. A CCPD officer said "racist huh, those look like black guys that just walked in"

Profiling is the name of the game on this above posting. You profile when you buy a home, car, choose a University or whatever. You are relying on your past experience, whether it be wise or ingrained to determine what is best for the purchase, situation, or the liability of the situation to have the possibility of turning bad or worse.

Profiling humans can be the wisest move you ever make or at worse an extreme hurting of others feelings and dignity. Wiser profiled citizens take it and move on, assholes are always looking for an excuse to grab an ambulance chasing, suit filing, shyster lawyer and enrich their pocketbooks.

I was profiled at a nice night club in Japan once, I smiled and moved on to one where I was welcome (most of them)...

Okay, I have to poke fun ... twice? I'd have learned after once.


The guy should have said straight out, I don't want you in here. Screw the giving him the "pants" excuse. I remember seeing a documentary on Studio 57, the lines were long, the "in" list extremely short.

This would be the definition of frivolous lawsuit.

There are going to be people out there that don't like me for a variety of reasons. Some because of my political and moral convictions. Others becaue I have blond hair and blue eyes.

Simply put, I don't feel the need to give these people my money. Tell your friends and let everyone know what kind of people they are. Let them go broke because of their stupid ideas, but a lawsuit is nothing other than a selfish wish to use the system to get rich without working for it.

I am not going to try and make everyone like me. I don't want everyone to like me. If everyone likes, me then I stand for nothing.
