I had a chance to shoot Moonpie's Garand back at a meet-up 4-6 months ago. Didn't hit squat at 100 yards (off-hand) with that 10-pound thunderstick, but I'm glad I had the chance to try it out.

Oh, and that Moonpie... he's alright, I guess.

Definitely a good time. Good to meet Moonpie and see Ben and smitty again. Kyle, a co-worker joined us too, unfortunately he stuck a case in his AR.

I wasted too much time on my pistols red dot. Think I'm going to give it away, to a kid maybe, and get a PA. I appreciate Moonpie and Kyle spotting for me while sighting in the NV, that was a huge help. I asked Ben to bring his EAA which he did, he even snuck onto my bench but I didn't fire it once. Like so many meet ups, there's too much to do and not enough time.

It was my 1st time behind a M1 also. Irons and me standing to shoot doesn't normally work out well but I think I was 80-90% at 100yds. That thing was really nice. I also shot MP's P238(?) and smitty's .450, probably a couple others too, I certainly needed and enjoyed my time there.

A couple (45-55yo) came to the range, drove past us at the pistol area and on to the club house. After a while they came over to ask questions, turns out they own property adjacent to the range and were interested in joining. He said they wanted to get CHLs and needed a place to practice at 25, 50, and 75 yards for the qualifying. We all have stories about the OTHER guy in CHL class but shooting a handgun at 75yds?!? That's scary. LoL

I only got one lousy picture of Kyle and didn't post it because it sucked. Please pass along my gratitude to him for bringing so much steel for us to shoot at.

I rearranged some things and set up an area to store ammo then, finally, unloaded the truck tonight.
