Hello everybody! Glad to be a new member. Unfortunately it's only after searching for stolen gun info. Anyway, I am here now and look forward to the threads posted here.
My name is Michael and I live and work in North Houston. In fact, to be more to the point, I work at a Pawn shop. As a proud veteran and collector of old military rifles, I was amazed that one of our "customers" sold us this afternoon one beautiful M1 Garand. I am at home, so don't remember the serial outside that it started with 24 and after researching had concluded it was built between January and February of 1944. The condition, as stated above, was pristine. So, imagine my surprise to find out the customer, (who was very young) claimed to have originally bought it for 75 dollars! Also, while in our store was not interested at all in any of our old military rifles in stock. Just wanted to look at handguns. Hmm, anyway, I just cannot believe anybody sold this rifle to anybody else for 75 bucks. It also has armory numbers on the stock that I KNOW are military. It is painted on the stock as "349 S/S, #201". If anybody knows of anybody who is missing a rifle with these markings, shoot me a message. We hold all purchases for 21 days before stocking. I hope I am wrong, but my heart believes somebody is missing this baby. ALOT.
Well, that's it for now and I look forward to being a BIG help to anybody on the lookout for stolen weapons.
