The only republican that could get me to vote of DOHbama, I truely despise this sack of flesh.

What do you find most often in the middle of the road? Road kill. Mitt Romney, who hopes to be the GOP's next presidential nominee, couldn't bring himself to endorse anyone in New York state's contentious 23rd congressional district special election.

Mitt Romney? Not so much. His voice hasn't been heard during the battle over health care. And then, Thursday he gave the vaguest statement on the race:

"I have chosen not to endorse the Republican candidate in New York's 23rd District," Romney told reporters while campaigning in Virginia for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell. "That should speak a certain amount of volume. I can't endorse our candidate in that race."

Yeah, Mitt, that does speak "a certain amount of volume." It says that you're willing to campaign for a gubernatorial candidate who has had the Virginia race in the bag for months -- but not make a controversial, yet, dynamic decision in a race that would have significant ripples across the country.

If it came to a choice between Romney and Obammy or Hitlery, I would have to hold my nose and vote for him. With him in there, the 2nd Amendment could still be in jeopardy.

If the economy is still not up to snuff, let's just say an issue come 2012, the Repug Committee could be begging him to be the nominee. After all, he IS Big East.

What we can hope for is to throw out some demos in 2010 and have the country partially stable before the next presidential campaign heats up.

Well, given that the sort-of Republican candidate for NY-23 dropped out and then endorsed the Democrat Owens, I'd say Romney made the right call on that. I'm really losing patience with the Republican party. They need to give up on this "Big Tent" idea and quit trying to pander to the moderates and independents. Fold up the tent and try something else. The thinking is that the party needs the support of moderates to have a majority to win, and that's crap. The Republicans won plenty of elections without running half-assed candidates to win over the moderates and centrists, or whatever. It ain't working; they're losing the conservative voters faster than they're gaining the wishy-washy folks in the middle.

From what I've heard, the "repubican" was a liberal idiot. I hope the 3rd party candidate wins, and I hope the rest of the GOP learns the stinkin lesson.
