For anyone living out in the west I came across a guy in Beatty, Nevada, who sells just about every size and type of case you can imagine: Ammo boxes for .223, 7.62, .50, 20-mm, etc., foot lockers, hermetically-sealing containers, camera cases, and the list goes on. The guy who owns it, Keith, is really cool and down-to-earth. With his permission I took a few photos of what he has on his lot. BTW, he doesn't ship, so this is only for people out west traveling in the Nevada area. Also, he has no business name, no web site, and no phone number (remember, this is Nevada ), so you have to be driving through Beatty, Nevada, to get these things. Thought I'd share.

Sounds like the kind of guy that would have a lot more of those in a bunker under his trailer that are full of fun toys...

Most definitely. The owner, Keith, is a great guy...interesting to talk to. I'll be heading out to Beatty in two or three weeks and I'm going to pick up two camera cases and a couple of ammo boxes too. Worth stopping there for sure.

Next time I see him I'll ask him if he'll consider it. Beatty is sandwiched between the Nellis range and Death Valley and pretty much in the boonies, so shipping costs would probably be prohibitive. Good excuse to convince your wife to take a road trip to Vegas, with a little side trip of course.....;)

I know another place you can buy everything seen in those Pictures here in TX. Any millitary base, you just have to go to the DRMO office they sell them by the pallet and you can get ammo cans at about $1.50 when you buy the pallets but they only sell buy the pallet. And again its self pickup only.

Yeah they do offer them but sometimes they have 20-30 pallets in one lot for auction. I've not seen small lots in a long time. And you have to take whatever they have, maybe no lids or most are dented. You can't go through them and cherry pick. Not as easy as it sounds. See www.govtliquidation.com I think it is.
