    What about state parks? Some state parks are leased from the feds. Did the feds ever pass that law to make it OK in federal parks as long as it didn't violate the local state laws?

    Just curious as to why list 7-13 that are not Statuatory no carry zones (since they all must be posted with signage)? Just wondering if you had a reason, obviously you knew they weren't.

    Thanks for the embed edit TX it helps.

    You changed 9 to show sporting event and added a few
    Although you are 100% correct I truncated it to "interscholastic event" since school sporting events are just that IMO.

    (2) on the premises where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place, unless the license holder is a participant in the event and a handgun is used in the event;

    The attempt of the OP is "KISS" for those of us who need a cheat sheet to help remember if you can or can not carry at any given non 30.06 posted location.

    For an example there are some cities that have local ordinances that say CHL's can not carry in city parks - not a valid law but you know the saying "beat the rap but not the ride"

    Would a non interscholastic (more than one school) school event at a public park that is not a sporting event be what your discussing?

    Example;
    Kids class goes to the city library as a school sanctioned event for a few hours be the exception?

    I believe interscholastic refers to UIL events.

    State law specifically prohibits counties and municipalities from restricting concealed carry beyond the statutory restrictions.

    No, it has nothing to do with number 7 in regards to your prohibition from carrying there. T

    NOTE:

    The 2 cited "proclamations" do not address properties which are State parks, but are on Federal Property, but are not National Parks.

    Whitney State Park is on Corps of Engineers property on Lake Whitney, the Corps of Engineers states that a Concealed Handgun License is not valid on their property.

    Some National Parks, as well as some other State Parks, may be on COE property too.

    I have e-mailed all my Texas and U.S representatives, the Governor, as well as TPWD, the C.O.E., the National Parks Service, and others regarding this. As of now, you probably need to see if it's a COE property, even if it's a State Park etc.

    If you are on a walking trail there and a pack of wild feral hogs or a rattlesnake tries to bite you ....
    you should have gone to a different park where you are allowed the right to defend yourself from deadly animals or other predators of any nature.
