EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Thirteen members of the Bloods street gang
have been arrested on federal drug charges.

Some of the alleged gang members were already in custody on
other charges; the others were arrested in El Paso this week. All
have been indicted on charges that they conspired to sell more than
500 grams of cocaine. Two people were also indicted on a charge of
possession with intent to distribute the drug ecstasy.

FBI Special Agent in Charge David Cuthbertson said the arrests
make a "significant" dent in the Bloods' operations in El Paso.

All 13 people arrested are being held in various local, state
and federal jails, including the El Paso County Jail. It is unclear
if any of them have lawyers.

13 wow. like every other large city in the U.S. there are many more to round up. hardly makes a dent. plenty of barrio aztecas here more than one can count. this was part of a 2 year investigation. i guess they were just sitting around on their asses until we had 2 gang related killings in less than a week and then poof 13 rounded up. it's like waiting for enough people to die at an intersection before putting up traffic lights.

I think they need to open season on all gang bangers! No limits either, heck in a matter of weeks we would solve the drug and crime problem here in Texas!

Dam fine job and great news.
Now round up the other 250,000 members and lets have a target practice!!!

I've always been partial to a bullet in the back of the head to ensure these violent street gang offenders won't threaten society again.

I wonder why gang members are not treated as terrorists?

Often wondered that myself. It is a form of urban/domestic terrorism.

I can't stomack the thought of Bush's DHS and gang members are another example of their failures. Cavity search the 80 yuear old nuns in the airport but whatever you do, don't offend a gang member. Our country has become a re-run of Clockwork Orange.

Don't know but I think they should be executed like treasonous traitors during war time.
They are selling drugs that are harmful to the country just like selling secrets to enemy countries is harmful, both can, will and DO get peopel KILLED.

I swear Hawg this is getting scary. Just a couple of nights ago I watched Clockwork Orange and when it was over I said to myself, America has become that movie. I'd have to say, though, that if a movie personifies America today closer and better than any other, it would have to be Woody Allen's The Sleeper. Wow.
