I have said before and will say again, the way to expand rights is by education and polite discourse without alarmist tactics. I am totally happy that OC and CC passed, but I would caution on the side of discretion. Open carry if you choose, but a group meeting in public places is not going to show the general public we are just like them. No shock and awe tactics come 1 Jan.

Sometimes I think these anti-NRA posters are shills for the anti-gun lobby. If they can just get us to stop supporting the most powerful pro-gun lobby on Capital Hill....

OK, tin foil hat is off.
Not even close. The only thing on Waples Mill Rd. is the world's largest "Butter factory".

As a matter of fact, all this NRA Butter-love makes me want to send a little cash to GOA. I'll do that this morning.

Not Fatty and Snowboots but more Grisham fun. This time he threatens PoPo when they respond with rifles.

    http://www.rawstory.com/2015/06/open-ca ... ng-for-id/

Ummm...all I see there is some officers wildly over-reacting to people who were technically trespassing a whole 10" or so (and no notice from the property owner) with the rifles on their backs nowhere near low ready like snowboots. Wtf property is that anywho, almost looks like a government building to me.

There are many ways to skin the cat - being a dbag is not a way that I would advocate. But polite discussion and discourse only goes so far, and only with people that are actually willing and capable of such things. There are others that need different tactics. Don't limit yourself to one methodology only.

And I'm a 2nd Amendment Foundation supporter - they are much more aggressive in the court system than the NRA will ever be.

NRA still gets my yearly check.
Although they seem to ask for it every two weeks...

I thought that was just me, lol....

Two weeks? They wait TWO weeks? Seems like at least once a week I get either a notice for membership dues or some other plea for money.

AMEN! I wish they would stop with the incessant junk mail and constant begging for money. ESPECIALLY with the same old tired and emotionally charged "Obama is coming for your guns" lines. Hey I threw a few bucks your way and you sent me a T-shirt. Great! What was in the envelope? Another envelope and a form begging for money. *facepalm*

Something about the Devil going down there or something or other... :p

...He was lookin' for a soul to steal.
He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind. He was willing to make a deal
When he came across this young man rockin' an AR and makin' it hot
And the Devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said "Boy, let me tell you what."

"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm an operator too.
And if you'd care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you.
Now you're a pretty good marksman, boy, but give the Devil his due.
I'll bet a AK of gold against your soul 'cause I think I'm better than you."

The boy said, "My name's Johnny, and it might be a sin,
But I'll take your bet; and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best there's ever been."

Johnny, lock-n-load yer gun and run the killhouse hard.
'Cause Hell's broke loose in Georgia and the Devil deals it hard.
And if you win you get this shiny rifle made of gold,
But if you lose the devil gets your soul.

The Devil opened up his case and he said, "I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his fingertips as he held at ready-low.
And he pulled the charging handle fast and it made an evil squeal.
And a squad of demons joined in and they shredded the killhouse steel.

When the Devil finished, Johnny said, "Well, you're pretty good ol' son,
But sit down in that chair right there and let me show you how it's done."

"Fire in the hole." Six in the pipe!
    The Devil's in the house of the stars and stripes;
ISIS in the townhall recruiting our dopes.
Grampa, you afraid to fight? No, child, nope.

The Devil bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
And he laid that golden AK on the ground at Johnny's feet.
Johnny said, "Devil, just come on back if you ever wanna try again,
I done told you once—you son of a bitch—I'm the best that's ever been."
    And he played:

"Fire in the hole." Six in the pipe!
    The Devil's in the house of the stars and stripes;
ISIS in the townhall recruiting our dopes.
Grampa, you afraid to fight? No, child, nope.

The statement is not against open carry but against using guns to draw attention to their cause. I agree with them. Making a big deal of going into a town as some sort of demonstration is bad form. Strapping AR's over your shoulder and going en masse into a business does not signal responsible gun ownership. Add the fact that most of them look like twenty something gamers didn't help either. At least, thats what the group that came to my town looked like. Did i mention that none of the demonstrators actually lived here? Just my two cents.
