Am I limited to one pistol?

Nothing in the law that I've seen says you can't...

    Well, in that case...

Fail you go to jail the one in the waistband does not have a belt holster. Cops will be all over you for that and no retention on the others so bad guys will grab them all before you can do anything but I will say Moms Demand action supporters will fall over dead at the sight.

    Texas, ya'll
    Ankle holster? :-0

For whatever reason, the legislators said shoulder or waist holsters, so ankle holsters are not allowed. I have to wonder if they explicitly wanted to exclude ankle holsters (and if so, why) or they just didn't consider it. So, I guess we won't be seeing old guys in Bermuda shorts with black socks and ankle holsters. :)

From a more practical point of view though, I have to wonder if a chest rig counts as a shoulder holster. One could argue that for driving in your car, a chest rig would allow you quicker access to your weapon than a shoulder or waist holster.

I fully support Open Carry, even though I don't see myself using it that much. I mainly see myself using it for when I need to drive from one of my properties to another. It will also be nice to have the option of not having to add an extra layer of clothing when choosing to carry in 95+F, 90% humidity weather. With it, I won't have to put on a vest to cover the gun while I'm in my car. If open carry truly becomes accepted here in Texas, we might expect to see less of the compact handguns and more of the medium to full size ones. We might also start seeing more nicely tooled leather holsters instead of the plastic / Kydex ones and more steel handguns instead of tuperware. During a Texas summer, it would also be nice to have one less layer of clothing that I would need to wear.

Will it ever be common to walk into a store and see something like this and it not be out of the ordinary? I hope so...

Unfortunately, I suspect that too many will end up looking like this: :(

That doesn't matter to those of us who wish for no unwanted attention.

You can carry a bazooka for all I care. But I will be watching in the wings and you'll have no idea how I am armed.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that." There will be certain social circumstances that make CC more appealing than OC, for sure, and there MIGHT even be signs for either/or/both .06/.07 that could change your carry mode, too.

It'll be nice to be able to choose.

so does just dropping a towel over your OWB gun/holster make it concealed ?

I might take my BBQ piece / Safe Queen to the mall for an ice cream.

Seriously though I'll probably try my G30 in a OWB Comptac paddle just to see how it goes. I'm still not sure how comfortable I will be with open carrying so I may not do it all the time. Not sure but I do know that I will let the newness of it fizzle out after the police get used it. Let it get "normalized" first.
