I'll show you mine, will you show me yours? :p

There seems to be lots of folks buying these, and aside from the Colt/Umarex, most are getting good results in terms of accuracy and reliability. I've bought and played with quite a few, and they can be a lot of fun... some even make good trainers for their center-fire cousins.

Who threaded the barrels for you on the S&W's? I am looking to get mine threaded for a muzzle brake.

    Thanks,

    Pete

I'll just have to suffer with my Colt/Umarex. Wife to the camera so no pic right now. It shoots well with CCI and Plinks like hell with Federal Bulk. Harder to clean than the Smith, but I like it. Rapid fire 30 rounds at 100 yards about a 8-9" group would love to see what she would do with a scope, but I want one gun without a scope. Maybe a red dot. 50 yard drills racing against my bud with a 10-22 shooting 5 Clay pigeons each is a hoot. We do that a lot even out to 100 yards I shoot the Colt better at 100 than I do at 50. It's way too much fun and cheap to shoot.

I like your collection, when I grow up maybe I can do the same, I'm only 47.

Mine aren't actually threaded... I simply cheated a bit.... I made these custom bushings... they are simply a copper union (1/2”) that has been cut in half and split lengthwise. I put one at the muzzle and one about ¼” forward of the rear edge of the flash hider. They made the CAR-15 long flash hider from Midway fit snug to the barrel. I also drilled and tapped the flash hider for a 6/32 set screw, which bears against the rear bushing. The copper doesn't harm the finish (I used a bit of Break-free when sliding them on) and they haven't shot loose yet.

Nice collection there! I have a S&W 15-22 still new in my safe, going to break it out at Christmas when I'm visiting the family farm. Since you've got several different sight options, which do you prefer/recommend?

    Honestly, I like them all!

I like the open sights, but I'm quicker with the red-dot and more precise with the scope.

In general the open sights get used for plinking, the red-dot for bunnies, and the scope for squirrels.

If I had to use only one, it would be the red-dot.

    Quite ingenious there.

if you can get the gsg for under 400 or so go for it they are fun little guns and they will be worth money one day, the sr-22 is brand new basically two years from now they will be alot cheaper than they are now.
unless of course you really want an ar styled gun with endless modification posibilities.

Which one of your "tacti-cool" rimfires is the most accurate and reliable ? I love 22's but only own 2 - ruger 10/22s and a ruger MKIII hunter. My 10/22 with a standard barrel puts them into about 2" groups at 50yds with cheap ammo and a 4x scope. The AR styled ones look awesome, but can they perform ? Thanks for sharin' any details - Texmex
