So in the semi-free market we enjoy, one can generally find great discounts on all types of consumer goods right after Christmas. I haven't bought a new gun in a while, so I was just wondering if the same phenomenon held true with gun dealers. Am I more likely to find a great deal if I hold off on buying guns and accessories until after the Holidays? Thanks for the insight and Merry Christmas.

Generallly, in normal times, there are quite a few sales before and after Christmas. However, in this particular market, it's a tough call. I would call around to see what the dealers may be offering and [of course] know what you would normally pay for something before you buy it.

On the Eotech, they are running rebates on most models until the end of the year. Buy it before Dec. 31st from an authorized dealer and get your papers in by the 15th of January for the rebate.

Its kinda like the Cowboys winning the Superbowl: "Hey, you never know."

I think I'd be happy with a Cz75/Jericho/Witness/Kahr or other 4" compact. That would be kind of like the Cowboys beating the giants for me. I just need something a little easier to conceal than a full size Glock.
