people are still lining up here in el paso to get them. heard on the news recently that the strain has mutated in china or somewhere. pretty much tells me same will happen here. i guess it means that this vaccine would not stop the mutated one. time to start over and spend billions again to screw it up.

Pretty amazoning is it not that some thing like this that got started in a petri dish can go sofar as mutate on its own the avin flu and swine flu can not combine in nature . The only way it could is to redisign the dna makeup so it could the only way to do that is to do it in a lab !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They had that on the bbc and on web news when this scare started...
Whats also funny is it coeinsided when clinton did her vist down in mexico..

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but on a related subject does anyone know how long small pox vaccine lasts? I remember receiving the vaccine as a kid, but I know people 30 and under have never had the vaccine since it was eradicated. You never know when some terrorist will get their hands on a sample from the Russian stocks.

I had mine in the early sixties and was re-vaccinated for an Iraq deployment in 2003. I had no reaction which meant my anti-bodies were still good, but others in my group of the same generation had very positive reactions.

Just give me plenty of toilet paper and some Alka Seltzer, I'll ride the storm out.

And there is a good chance you would be ok doing so. But H1N1 has hit healthier people harder which is where most of the concern has come from.

Also the doses that were recalled were for the childrens vaccines, I love how the first several news reports never stated the reason for the recall and it wasn't until the second or third news report that they said why.

I've heard reports of tamiflu resistant strains, not suprising how tamiflu has been given out like candy in some cases.
