I am offering you the chance to build your very own Egyptian AK-47 Maadi rifle using a military grade Egyptian parts kit. The price includes all items necessary to be 922-compliant and have a fully functioning AK-47 semiautomatic rifle. Choose to build it on a manufactured receiver or bend a receiver flat in my shop. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BUILD THE RIFLE! This is a great learning experience for those who have the bug. There are ten kits available on a first-come, first-served basis. I have a full range of AK-Builder Jigs and Tools for your use.

theoretically at least.

is it cost effective to build one VS. buying one assembled...at least like an AR

Hi cap you can buy a complete 74 kit for 250.00 and a receiver for 96.00 and compliance parts 100.00. 625.00 total with the build. Yes you will be able to find a AK74 Wasr or alike for that price or less but this is really a offer to guys who have jumped off in to the deep end and have been bitten by the AK BUG. What you get for the money is experience and the bragging rite to say "I built that BMF and it sings" The other side of it is you know how it was built you know what and were and that it was done to your standards Not to some 7.00 hr unemployed factory guy who cares less about guns and needs a job till the picking season starts. You can check for canted sites head space and a like. I invested a lot of money to build them and well I need some extra cash.

AK BUILDERS New bender does a great job, he has it so it actually has negative camber in the bend on the bottom, when the punch is completed in the die. My first one looked funny to me it was not 90 degree when the process was complete. Now when you remove the die and shoe then remove the 4 bolts and pull the receiver from the punch the deflection causes the sides to come to a complete 90 degree to the bottom. Just do not try to bend the sides well still in the punch. It is truly a awesome bender.
