shit welp im late to this party but I'm bored, so I'll post. I won't OC in public, but will OC at night and semi-reconciled by loose over shirt or something. Normally, I'll keep to the concealed mode. for "open carry, most likely, 45 acp 1911 in a IDPA style paddle holster.

    That Holler Up Yonder, Texas
This thread is ALL over the place, but still hanging loosely on target. I'm impressed.

I'll be ordering me a 1911 in .45 this weekend, so that will be the OC of the future. Inside, a tasty batch of hollow points dipped in bacon grease will be on the menu.

Not sure on the holster yet...

    Texas, ya'll
Why the hell not? That's perzackly what I plan to do.

I have to wonder how practical one of the old west style holsters would be when you are traveling in a car (or even a pickup / large SUV for that matter). Seems that at the very least the seat belt might get in the way if you ever had to deploy it while you are inside of the vehicle and depending upon the vehicle, it might be somewhat uncomfortable. But then again, I suspect that the only truly comfortable rig to wear while driving would be a chest rig.

Glock in Safariland 6280 holster. Not that I would carry openly except while hunting.
