Are there really only 2 shows left this year?

    Paso Del Norte (SEPT 19 & 20)
    Provost (NOV 14 & 15)

    Am I missing any?

Geez I hope someone this time brings some pistol or rifle powder to sell at these shows. I got lucky last time since Mr. Clark had linotype bars for sale.
IMO the past few shows have been getting smaller and smaller with less tables and still have the same 'ol overpriced guns from the past 20 shows . Also seeing more and more mall ninja goods.. Hopefully these two shows are better.

Last gun show was one of the worst ones I've been to. They have been getting worse over the years but this last one was really bad. I'm thinking that I may make it out to the one in Austin just to see what they have going.

Don't hold your breath, Ozzy. I expect the same crap as the last gun show had.
Was it just me, or were there more jewelry and penny collector tables set up this past show?
That needs to stop... I don't wear ear rings or broaches, nor does my wife. As far as coins go, if it's not silver or gold it's a no go for me... A Hay Penny is just that... a stinkin Hay Penny.

I really wish a SAXET or PREMIER sponsored show would come out here with their vendors.

Not too many guns to be had this time around.
Ammo was available, but still at 2012 prices.

    My haul this weekend:
    - Bought 16 lbs of Lyman #2 for $15.
    - I didn't really need the following, but Jim had a paper grocery bag full brass (still in their original boxes & already shot of course). The bag had approximately 1,200 rounds of .38 special and about 120 rounds of federal .308 brass in once fired condition. Bought the whole bag for $25.
    - $5 for 90+ 110gr .357 FMJBT bullets

Should have around 3k of loaded .38 special by next Sunday. I got to start shooting the stuff and stop making it lol..

The turnout was also light as it was easy to find first row parking.
Not a bad show for components and accessories, but I don't think I will be making the next shows if things don't pick up in the "firearms for sale" category.

Part of the problem is the "sale" is never to be had. Most of the vendors have the firearms priced to high. Full retail can be expected at the brick and morter gun store or Academy. The whole idea of a gun show used to be to buy sell and trade. you could go there and get "deal".

All vendors expect to low ball you on your firearm you are trying to trade/sell, but will charge full price for the same item they have on the rack.
Three shows ago I walked in trying to sell a Hungarian AK 47 in excellent condition and was asking a fair price of $400. He low balled my sale price $320 when on his very own rack had a similar rifle for sale for $650. Stated that these are no longer worth $400. LOL!... no thanks.

Sold it on gunbroker and got $480 for it.

There is a gun show in Las Cruces this weekend at the Convention Center for any of you El Pasoan's interested.

I have a few rifles I can dump for some cash, so I may make it out there as well.

I am going to let go at least 2 91-30's I don't shoot, as well as the HEX M44.
I also want to sell my TP9, M88A, and one of my CZ 82's.

Got rid of all the Bubba's last show, and got a Taurus 680 (.357) and a Tristar C-100.

I want to build a 7.62x39 AR, but need to liquidate some of what I have to get there without the wife complaining.
