So, I work at an ECP (entry control point) that allows the flow of traffic, both mobile and on foot. Well, i've noticed that none of us soldiers over here have much water, we have learned to conserve it really good. AND here's what erks me. As I see all this Iraqi day-workers leave, each of them carry out one of those little 12 pack cases of water (if you've been here you know the ones i'm talking about) And, I don't really mind TOO much because there's always water at the DFAC. But, we were talking today..the nation's debt is now like..11 trillion or something correct? Well..assuming to bottle the water..pay people to do it, and produce the plastic...lets say it would cost .10/piece..mon-sat they leave with a pack a piece, theres around 48 iraqi's who come and go everyday..thats over 17,000/year JUST from the post i'm currently operating out of. SO, times that by two, thats 34k/year. Times that by say...10 for a SMALL estimate for the number of big posts still operating in Iraq thats 340,000. Sorry for the bad grammer and everything it's bed time:)

The Government is the world greatest wasters of resources and tax payer monies!
The bottom line is this; as long as out fighting men and women have what they need I can stand the waste. I don't like it but if that's the only way to ensure they have what they need, then so be it!

Pondering the whole Iraqi picture we have erased Sadam Hussein, but not all of his supporters and types. And that is mainly because they consist of two religious muslim sects, shiite & sunni who dislike each other and function like oil and water. Power over the masses is the desire of both. The sunnis are still suicide bombing the areas where the others are in power and will likely continue forever.

It would seem that our brave American Troops performed gallantly over there and now are needed more massed along the Mexican border to do the job that Washington can't or won't or is just half assed is willing to do.....
